Facial reconstruction is sought by people for corrective and aesthetic reasons. However, the term ‘facial reconstruction’ usually refers to reconstructive surgery undertaken for treating facial deformities, injuries or abnormalities caused due to genetic reasons, infectious diseases or invasive treatments like cancer-related radiotherapy.
