Facial implants may be used to modify the appearance of the face, to add volume and change the contour. The implants are biocompatible and the surgery may be combined with several other treatments for more dramatic results.

BOTOX®

BOTOX® is a treatment that employs injections containing a toxin, which will paralyze the targeted muscles and will prevent the wrinkling of the face when the patient frowns or smiles. This procedure is recommended to better preserve the effects of the facial implant procedure. The BOTOX® injections should be periodically applied (i.e. once every 6 months) for best results.

Liposuction

Facial implants will give more volume to the areas where more volume is needed, but there may also be areas that have unwanted deposits of adipose tissues.

These tissues should be removed with a gentle liposuction procedure, such as Slim Lipo or Vaser Liposelection, which can be used in the face or neck areas, causing negligible side effects.

Chemical Peels

Facial implants may be used to modify the contour of the face, but will not work on the texture of the skin. A chemical peel may be recommended to improve the skin texture and to make it more youthful looking.

Alternatively, a skin rejuvenation procedure may be performed (i.e. Genesis skin rejuvenation). A skin rejuvenation treatment may also reduce the appearance of surgery scars that may remain after the facial implants surgery.

Dermal Fillers

A facial implant surgery can be used instead of dermal fillers, having more durable effects, but dermal fillers may also be used after a few years to keep the volume of the face.
