Get A Body Lift After Gastric Bypass
Gastric bypass is a weight loss treatment which can do amazing things to your body. The massive weight loss that it allows for helps to not only improve your overall health but also give you confidence in your body. Unfortunately, though, gastric bypass surgery does have its drawbacks. One of those drawbacks is that you lose so much weight so quickly that you are left with excess folds of skin that can be unsightly, a fact which diminishes the positive confidence-boost of the weight loss.
A
recent report by KOLD 13 takes a look at the case of Marilyn Jacobson who used gastric bypass weight loss surgery to go from over 300 pounds to under 130 pounds. She was happy with the surgery but unhappy with the leftover skin. Although she followed instructions about restraining the skin folds with girdles, she wanted to see more positive results. So she opted to get a body lift. The body lift caused her to lose another 40 pounds of excess skin and to complete the physical transformation that made her comfortable in her own body.
A body lift is a somewhat complicated procedure which involves multiple incisions, lifting and liposuction. It's increasingly common, however, especially for people who undergo weight loss surgery and have that extra flesh to cope with. When you lose a lot of weight from a surgery like gastric bypass, you're hoping for excellent results, not mediocre ones. A body lift could be that extra boost that you're looking for.

Do You Want Demi's Problems?
There's been a lot of chatter in the news lately about Demi Moore's conflicts with ageism in the Hollywood industry. On the one hand, she's been speaking out against ageism and publicly discussing the flaws in a society that places so much emphasis on youth. On the other hand, she hasn't exactly fought the stereotypes since she's paid nearly half a million to plastic surgeons to help keep her looking young. And then there's the undeniable fact that she's got a much-younger partner which indicates that she's not shying away from the youth herself.
It's hard to say what plastic surgery Demi has and hasn't actually had. The
Daily Mail did some digging and came up with an extensive list which includes all-over liposuction, collagen treatments and a brow lift. Demi is also believed to have had breast implants, reduction of those implants and a breast lift. In addition to her surgeries, Demi has kept her body looking young and fit through a strict diet and exercise regime which she's paid good money to get professional advice about. Her most recent surgery was to repair sagging of her skin around the knees.
People all over the place have something to say about her surgery. Some say that the amount of money that she's spent on these surgeries is absurd. Others say that
it's reasonable. And still others say that it's fine to have done but hypocritical to do it and then talk about ageism in the industry. No matter what's being said, though, it's undeniable that there are a lot of women out there who wouldn't mind having Demi's problems - spending money that she does have to look better for her young lover.

The Rodeo Drive Mommy Makeover
One of the hottest things happening in Hollywood these days is childbirth. And since celebrities have to always look their best, that means that the average mom is seeing that it's possible to have kids and still look glamorous. It's no secret that the celebs use not just exercise and diet control to get their bodies back in shape after the baby is born but that they also use plastic surgery to speed up the process of getting the glamour back. So it's really no surprise that Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery, the elite plastic surgery office which is known to have stars as clients, offers a package called
The Rodeo Drive Mommy Makeover.
This makeover package is designed to get mommies back to their pre-pregnancy shape (or better) so that they can have the do-it-all dream that the celebrities are showing off. It's mostly the stomach and breasts that suffer the slings and arrows of pregnancy so these are the areas focused on for the Mommy Makeover. Mom gets a tummy tuck and a signature Rodeo Drive Belly Button. She also gets a breast lift and possible augmentation to get her breasts nice and pre-baby perky.
As pointed out in
this press release, the Rodeo Drive Mommy Makeover may be good enough for the celebrities but it's not an exclusive service; more and more average moms are getting the procedure done so that they can feel like they're at their best. You'll just have to figure out how you're going to get away from the baby long enough to have the work done.

Should Weight Loss Surgery Be Covered By Insurance?
Does your health insurance cover weight-loss surgery? If you have Medicare, it sure does. But if you've got private insurance, even if it's one of the big companies that you're covered by, your weight loss surgery probably isn't going to be covered. And even if it is, there are strict regulations as to who can get weight loss surgery under an insurance plan (including requirements that you be at least 100 pounds overweight). This is a controversial issue because some say that weight loss surgery is a medical need and others say it's only a cosmetic procedure.
Even those who agree that weight loss surgery such as bariatric surgery should be covered by insurance often say that the strict limitations on who exactly is covered are fair regulations. The argument is that if someone is morbidly obese and has no other options for weight loss, then the surgery should be covered but if they are looking for a cosmetic makeover, they should pay out of their own pockets. And of course many employers are arguing that no one should be covered since adding weight loss surgery to existing plans will increase their premiums.
What do you think? Should any weight loss surgery be covered by your health insurance? Should all of it be covered? And would you be willing to pay higher premiums to reduce the costs of this type of surgery?

Are Military Men Getting Breast Reductions?
It's kind of hard to picture an army guy going to the doctor and asking to have his breasts reduced. Nevertheless, it seems to be happening on an increasing basis according to a recent
article on KFOX. The article discusses the trends seen by Texas-based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Mark Jabor who says that he's seen an increase in the number of men coming in to his office for breast reductions and that many of those men have been military based. He went on to speculate that the changes in physical fitness requirements for the army are causing a need for quick body fat reduction which military men can achieve by getting breast reduction surgery.
Of course, breast reduction surgery isn't the only type of procedure that these military men are seeking. They're also getting liposuction in their hips to get rid of some of the fat that they can't seem to burn up with all of those push-ups and jogging routines. But breast reduction has seen an inflation in part because it's a procedure that is getting increasingly popular with men. Men who remain too embarrassed to ask their doctors for the surgeries may consider herbal alternatives
such as Gynexin Alpha Formula. Although, think of the ribbing the army guys will get from their superiors if their bottle of pills to reduce man-boobs is discovered.
