Is Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation a "Fringe Procedure"?

In a recent report about Laser Vaginal Rejuvation, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons called the procedure "a fringe procedure" which is considered to be "unconventional". Maybe. Maybe not. An increasing number of women are exploring this form of plastic surgery to see what it might offer in improvements to their sex lives.

Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation is a procedure which essentially tightens the vagina. It improves muscle tone and gives a woman more control of her sex organs during intercourse. By taking this control, she may be able to enhance her own sex life. And if her sex life is improved, the sex life of her partner is likely to improve as well. As a result, it is not just single women looking into this surgery but also a significant number of women who are in committed relationships.

The procedure is still considered to be controversial. But that doesn't mean that it can really be called a "fringe procedure". The term implies that it's something which is rarely done or which is only done by a select group of people in society. That isn't the case. Many average women across the nation are considering this type of plastic surgery. It may not be commonplace but it's not fringe either.
