Plastic Surgery Part of 40 Surgeries for Injured Solider

Two years ago Ryan Bowen was an Army solider stationed in Baghdad. When a tank blew up, several people around him lost their lives and he almost met the same fate. A series of injuries required immediate medical attention.

Those injuries also required ongoing medical attention. Despite the fact that doctors were able to treat Bowen for the immediate life-risking problems, his issues were far from over. He has spent the last two years stationed on an Air Force Base where he has received intermittent treatment for a variety of problems caused by the injury. Among those problems was the psychological disorder PTSD.

After two years of treatments for both his physical and psychological difficulties, Bowen is finally starting to see the light. His health issues are mostly cleared away. The most recent of the forty surgeries that he's undergone in the last two years was plastic surgery to remove some of the significant scarring from his face. With a new face and a new outlook on living, he is ready to begin the next phase of his life.
