Your Plastic Surgeon Is Likely to Be Young

There is a trend in the world of medicine today in terms of the fields of medicine that newly graduated doctors are going into. More and more new medical grads are eschewing the option of going into general practice and are instead looking into specialty areas of medicine, areas such as plastic surgery. This means that there are an influx of new young doctors into these specialty fields and ultimately that means that your chances of getting a younger plastic surgeon could be greater now than in the past.

There are both pros and cons to getting a younger plastic surgeon. Of course, you want someone who has experience in the procedures that you are getting done but experience alone doesn't mean that someone is a good doctor. Younger doctors may be more on top of the latest methods of plastic surgery treatment and can provide a great perspective on modern plastic surgery for you.

In other words, there may be an increase in the number of younger plastic surgeons out there but this is neither a good thing nor a bad thing. You want to make sure only that you have checked the background of the plastic surgeon and that you have developed a good rapport with him in order to make sure that you are getting the treatment that you desire from him no matter what his age may be.

Question of the Day: Would it bother you to have a young plastic surgeon?
