Dr. Handel is a native of Los Angeles who received his medical degree from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut in 1973. He finished his training in general surgery and then completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Colorado Medical Center. Dr. Handel was awarded a Fellowship and completed training in England and Scotland before going into private practice in Los Angeles in 1980.

Dr. Handel also devotes his extraordinary abilities to cosmetic surgery of the face and body, including eyelid and facelift procedures, rhinoplasty, ear surgery, tummy tucks, body contouring, breast surgery, liposuction and injectables (Botox and Restylane)
