Cosmetic Surgery Photo

Choosing to have cosmetic surgery is an important decision and so is selecting a cosmetic surgeon. Whether you're considering cosmetic surgery or reconstructive surgery, you can ask your surgeon for before and after photos of surgeries that they've performed. Most surgeons will have a portfolio of procedures that they've performed on others before you. Ask to see those photos. Make sure the procedure is what you want and the expectations coincide with what your surgeon has already done. Procedures like:

Tummy Tuck

If you have loose skin on your stomach or fat that is concentrated in the abdomen you may be able to benefit from abdominoplasty. You may have inherited this problem or maybe you've lost a tone of weight that has caused your sheets of lost skin and muscles. Abdominoplasty also can tighten muscles that have been separated and weakened by pregnancy. It's a great way to improve those stretch marks, especially those located below the navel.

In most cases, a horizontal incision is placed just within or above the pubic area. The length of the incision, which extends laterally toward the pelvic bones, depends largely on the amount of skin to be removed. The contour of this incision will vary somewhat according to the structure of your abdomen and the style of bathing suit or undergarments that you prefer. Your cosmetic surgeon will try to keep the incision within your bathing suit lines, but this may not always be possible.

Face Implants

The contours of your face may be enhanced by a variety of techniques. A chin augmentation can strengthen the appearance of a receding chin by increasing its projection. Similarly, the cheekbones can be made fuller, creating a more sculpted look, using implants. Sometimes fat may be injected into specific areas to restore a more youthful fullness to your face. In most cases, treatment with fat injections, need to be repeated to maintain improvement.

There are two procedures for adding distinction and contour to your chin. One is performed through an incision that is made inside your mouth, it requires moving the chinbone. The other, the implant is inserted through incisions inside your mouth or on the underside of your chin. In the latter case, surgery usually leaves only a faint scar that is barely visible underneath the chin.

Augmentation of your cheekbones is made possible by placing an implant over them. The procedure usually is performed through an incision inside the mouth, but it may be done through a lower eyelid or a brow lift incision

After a chin or cheek augmentation, you will most likely be up and about the same day, but your activities will be restricted. You should be able to return to work within one to two weeks.
