Benelli Lift

There are several things about a woman's body that we can't prevent, like the signs of aging and sagging breasts. While we can't prevent these things, we can do something about it, we can fight the signs of aging and we can battle sagging breasts thanks to a procedure called the Benelli lift.

A Benelli lift or a breast lift removes excess skin and re-contours the breast to be more youthful looking. A Benelli lift is performed using local or general anesthesia. Typically, this procedure takes between 1 1/2 and 4 hours to perform. It can also be performed along with a breast augmentation.

The Benelli Lift Procedure

This is considered an outpatient surgery. Your cosmetic surgeon will make a doughnut shaped incision to remove tissue from around the areola. A crescent-shaped piece of tissue may also be taken from the tope of the areola to allow for an additional lift. The incision is then stitched. This procedure is not as invasive as a full mastopexy and takes between 1-3 hours.

Recovery

You should be able to return to normal activity within a week, but no strenuous activity for a month.

Risks Include

• Decreased sensation

• Slow healing

• Loss of nipple
