This procedure helps with sagging neck lines and jowls as well as deep wrinkling on the face. A face lift can be performed under local or general anesthesia and usually takes several hours. The incisions that are made are typically placed around the ear and inside the hair-bearing scalp to minimize their visibility.
A face lift can improve sagging facial skin, jowls, and loose neck skin by removing excess fat, tightening muscles and skin. It can be performed as an inpatient or an outpatient procedure. Temporary bruising, swelling, numbness, tenderness of skin, dry skin, or tight skin may be experienced post-surgery.
