Vaginal Rejuvenation> (
Vaginoplasty) is sometimes seen as a way to design the perfect vagina for a woman. It is
primarily a procedure used to enhance the feelings of sexual gratification and allow the woman
to receive and give more pleasure when making love. Many women that have gone through childbirth,
the vaginal muscles expand during the delivery; can result in being weak, loose, and vaginal
muscles. It can embarrassment after the healing process is completed, making a woman feel
uncomfortable and can even lead to sexual dysfunction. The purposed of the surgery is to improve
the tone and elasticity of the vagina by tightening the vaginal muscles and the supporting
tissues.
This surgery tones the vaginal muscle, resulting in greater strength and the ability to
contract. During surgery the stretched muscle at the back of the vagina is fused together
and shortened with dissolvable sutures, with the unwanted skin being removed. This, in effect
tightens vaginal muscles and the surrounding soft tissue, by reducing the excess vaginal
lining, the scarring is unseen. The procedure can be performed either under general anesthetic
or local anesthetic with sedation, and may require an overnight stay. The operation usually
takes about an hour to perform.
With surgery, all expectations must be realistic. The result will be an immediate decrease in
the diameter of the vagina, and an increase in the tightness of the muscles. This may restore
the vagina and supporting structures to a pre-pregnancy state. The vaginal area will be sore
and possibly a little swollen post surgery. Resuming normal activities after surgery may occur
within a few days and normal sexual activity within a month or so.
For women who have undergone multiple childbirths, the vaginal muscles tend to
experience enlargement due to a stressful physical expansion during the delivery.
Results are often loose, weak, vaginal muscles. Even after Kegel exercises, the
condition of the vaginal muscles may not improve. The experience of childbirth may
be the most rewarding of their lives, sometimes the after effects for both their
sexual partner and themselves is not as satisfying as it once was.
Vaginoplasty, sometimes is referred to as rejuvenation of the vagina, a procedure
that can usually correct the problem of stretched vaginal muscles resulting from
childbirth(s), and is a direct means of enhancing one's sexual life once again.
Procedure:
The procedure typically tones vaginal muscle, resulting in greater contraction
strength and control, thereby permitting greater sensation during sexual experiences.
Generally, anyone in average physical condition or good health can be a candidate for
vaginoplasty surgery.
Vaginoplasty is a standard gynecologic surgical procedure. It tightens vaginal
muscles and surrounding soft tissues, by reducing excess vaginal mucosa (vaginal lining).
The result is an immediate decrease in the size of vaginal muscles, resulting in more
friction during sexual experiences.
After Surgery:
After surgery, the patient is usually able to walk comfortably within a few days
and may return to sexual activities within 4-6 weeks.
Risks:
Possibility of infection, bleeding, and scarring.
